Puck Design

Our on-site design staff is comprised of experts in puck design, plastics, injection molding and system automation. Our staff will review each application and ensure that the puck design represents the optimum combination of performance and cost effectiveness. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our engineers during the quoting phase as well as request an on-site visit from one of our factory sales personnel.

We also offer several advanced services that are designed to shorten lead times and ensure that the puck we provide is ideally suited to your product and manufacturing environment.

3D Modeling

3D Modeling

If you do not have 3D drawings of your product, APT will be happy to generate a three-dimensional models of both the puck and product from 2D drawings. Likewise, all we need to get started on your puck design is a drawing or sample of your container.

Fused Deposition Modeling

Fused Deposition

Advantage Puck offers a rapid and cost-effective prototyping service called Fused Deposition Modeling that allows a dimensionally-correct puck to be made from layers of ABS thermoplastic. A FDM puck is accurate to within 0.010" and can be used to test bottle fit and can be run on your production line, before you commit to ordering tooling or large volumes of pucks.

3D Digital Scanning

3D Scanning

Our 3D digital capability allows us to generate highly precise 3D models of bottles and other objects that can be used to expedite the puck design process.

Sample production run

After the 3D models of the puck have been approved, we will make an initial run of approximately twenty pucks. We will send ten of these pucks to you for testing and we will retain the remainder for evaluation. The cost of the initial run is included in the price of the puck tooling and allows you to sample the pucks before receiving the entire order.
