What is a puck and what does it do? |
A puck is an injection molded or machined carrier which adds stability to your product during labeling, capping, filling, assembling, and date coding.
Reduce changeover time and cost:
- Choose a puck shape and size. Use this footprint to reduce your changeover time and cost. Pucks also make your production line more flexible.
- No need to change guide rail spacing.
- Fill heights and fill neck spacing is now consistent.
- Filling, capping, labeling, date coding and handling unstable packages is not an issue.
- Timing screws and star wheels for fillers, cappers and labelers can be standardized, reducing cost and complexity of capital equipment.
- Pucks act as wear points on your productions line. Replacing pucks is faster and more economical.
- Orientation features allow you to position the puck and product in the direction you want it to run on your line.
- Laser engraving of the puck number or product description on the outside of the puck makes identification easy.
Improve Production Time:
- Pucks stabilize your product, which means increased line speeds, less down time, reduced waste and less line clean up.
- Record lot code or product ID with RFID chips inserted in your puck.
- Pucks keep packages and labels safe from scuffing caused by the production line.
- Align off-center or angled neck packages.
- Puck weight tolerances available.
- Lead-time for new pucks is three to four weeks from receipt of purchase order and drawing approval.
- Lead-time for replacement pucks is one to two weeks from receipt of purchase order.
- Expedited delivery is available.
